Specify the following attributes of an item:

Name - a name for the item. Item names must be unique.

Department - Department is just the area of the store where the item is found. Add a new department using the 'Add Department' menu item or the 'Add' button (on devices that support buttons). When you set up each store, you will specify which departments that store has, and implicitly which items it carries.

On List - Check this to put the item 'on your list', meaning you intend to purchase it on your next trip to the store.

In Cart - Check this to indicate that the items is in your cart, meaning you are at the store and have found the item.

Price - The price of the item. This price is recorded in the purchase history at the time a Check out is performed.
